The Hull & East Yorkshire Volleyball Association prides itself on proactively promoting the sport of volleyball in the former Humberside Region and beyond. HEYVA pledges to maximize the opportunity to play volleyball in our region for all demographics of people and ensure fair and fun competition.

Each year teams from across our region and beyond compete in the HEYVA league (Mixed Sex League) which is aimed at maximizing playing opportunities and is an excellent level for beginners and more experienced players to compete in a fun and safe environment.

HEYVA is currently the sole survivor of the Yorkshire local regional associations and this is something we are extremely proud of, in 2019 after a dramatic decline in the participation levels in our region we decided to make some major changes to the way the league is structured in order to not only sustain the levels of participation but actively increase the number of players competing.

The league now operates a triangular fixture format, with a centralized fixture and venue system meaning it has opened up the league to teams and clubs without permanent venues and equipment and clubs that are outside of our traditional boundaries. This has proven popular and the league has now seen a resurgence in popularity and participation, which has meant since 2023 we have been able to run with 2 divisions for the first time in nearly 20 years.
